Attention all DFP students!
Are you seeking opportunities to build your design and networking skills? DFP has created two new student volunteer roles within the DFP CREATE Showcase organizing committee: Gather Town Space Designer and Alumni Engagement Chair. We are seeking candidates for these short term, high impact volunteer roles (honoraria will be available).
Student 1: Gather Town Space Designer
Duties: This student will work with the Showcase Organizing Committee to design the Gather Town space for the Showcase. Gather Town is a virtual meeting environment that is quickly growing in popularity The Gather Town Designer will not be expected to create the entire space, but to build on / modify the existing Showcase space. Gather Town experience is a bonus, but not required, as support will be available from other members of the Showcase organizing committee. . This is a great opportunity to stretch your creative design skills and build something that the whole DFP community will use!
Hours: 15-20 hours (flexible), plus Showcase (May 18 11-4pm)
Timeframe: Can start immediately. Will wrap up May 19th, 2022
Honoria: $150
Student 2: Alumni Engagement Chair
Duties: This student will plan and organize the DFP Alumni Panel segment of this year’s Design Showcase. The student will reach out to DFP’s alumni to inquire about their interest in participating, prepare the alumni for the event, and create a list of potential individuals who would be excellent panel facilitators. The student may also conduct an informal student survey to create a list of questions to ask the panel. This is a great opportunity to meet DFP graduates working in a variety of positions and to start building your own network. The Alumni Engagement Chair will receive guidance and support from the DFP staff.
Hours: 15-20 hours (flexible), plus Showcase (May 18 11-4pm)
