DFP Project Kick-Off

The DFP Project Kick-Off is an annual event that brings the new cohort of DFP CREATE students into contact with industry/community/etc partners that they will be collaborating with in the Project course (554K). Partners will give brief presentations on their research projects, and students will have the chance to ask questions and get to know the partners. Students will also get to meet the course instructors (Dongwook Yoon and Leanne Currie), as well as their team's faculty mentor. Attending this event provides students with the tools needed for a strong start to the project course in January.

Time: 9:30am - 12:30pm
Lunch served at 11:30am
Location: DFP Classroom (FSC 2330)

This year's Project Partners are Microsoft Research, BC Centre for Disease Control, OceanCanada, and LlamaZoo. See the teams here.
