We’re excited to welcome both Abdul-Fatawu Abdulai and Mohi Reza to our DFP Alum Panel at our May 10th Design Showcase!
Dr. Abdulai conducts research on digital health, human-computer interaction, and health technology design. His program of research seeks to explore how principles of human-computer interaction and trauma-informed care approaches can be leveraged to address inequities in sexual and reproductive health access for marginalized populations. He adopts user-centered design and integrated knowledge translation approaches in developing patient-centered digital health interventions related to sexual and reproductive health.
Mohi is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Intelligent Adaptive Interventions group at the DGP lab, affiliate member of UBC Language Sciences, and part of the Adaptive Experimentation Accelerator, a multi-university team that was a top-three finalist in the $1M XPRIZE Digital Learning Challenge (’22-’23). Mohi’s current research is focused on transforming digital learning platforms, such as online courses, into intelligent, continually improving systems using adaptive experimentation and iterative design.
