DFP will competitively award a number of Graduate Entrance Grants (GEG) of $5,000 each to top / early DFP CREATE applicants. Recipients will receive the grant upon arriving at UBC in September 2020, with the expectation that they will complete the DFP CREATE Enrichment Program within one or two years, along the way to completing their home degree program. This funding is on top of whatever the home department/supervisor is providing to the applicant.
In 2019, we awarded 7 entrance awards which helped us to recruit 3rd cohort for our CREATE graduate program which is outstanding in talent and record, and diverse in discipline, gender, and background.
Eligibility for GEG (2020):
- Received a UBC offer
- Have a DFP supervisor
- Submitted application by March 13, 2020
