Born and raised in the Okanagan valley, Anna Maria Offenwanger did her undergrad not far from home at UBC's Okanagan campus. After school she went into the industry for two years, one of which she spent working on Chrome as part of the a team helping to bring Virtual Reality to the web. As much as she loved doing that, she decided to finish her schooling, so now she's back, hoping to learn even more about what VR can do.
Research Interests
I am interested in applications of Virtual Reality. I'm particularly focused on how people use Virtual Reality technologies, and how they act and react in Virtual systems. I'm also interested in Augmented Reality, how it is the same as and different from Virtual Reality, and how people interact with these systems.
