Hasti Seifi is a postdoctoral researcher at the Haptic Intelligence department of the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Germany. Her Ph.D. research, at the University of British Columbia in Canada, focused on characterizing user sense-making and personalization of haptic sensations and received the Eurohaptics 2018 best Ph.D. thesis award.
Hasti received her M.Sc. on emotional perception of facial animations from Simon Fraser University in Canada, and her Bachelors in Computer Engineering from University of Tehran in Iran. Through her research, Hasti aims to develop effective guidelines, methodology, and tools for designing, evaluating, and personalizing haptic sensations.
