Michael Oppermann is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. He works as a research assistant in the InfoVis Group and is advised by Tamara Munzner. He received his Masters degree in Business Informatics from the University of Vienna in 2017.
Research Interests
Michael Oppermann's research interests include information visualization, visual analytics, and human-computer interaction. His Ph.D. research is focused on spatiotemporal data and, in particular, on designing and evaluating visual tools to understand space utilization.
