Paul Bucci is an eclectic artist and designer from Vancouver, BC. Being generally interested in making things, Paul worked as a grip, journalist, film editor, photographer's assistant, producer, cook, director, consultant and freelancer of all varieties. He co-founded the bad journalism startup "Worst," the good humour magazine "The Syrup Trap," and the weird artist collective called "The Shifting" (all now happily defunct). Paul has designed a number of print publications, including the best-selling book "The Canadaland Guide to Canada," and once recorded a silly Christmas album. Somehow spinning a summer art project into a decade-long exploration of interactive technology, Paul is now doing a PhD in Computer Science focusing on touch-based emotional human-robot interaction.
