Design Challenges for Space Medicine on the Moon, Mars and Beyond

Abstract: If we are serious about sending humans to the Moon and Mars, then we need to ask ourselves how, exactly, we go about packing for space. In order to understand this, we need to understand the environmental hazards we are packing for, and the constraints that come with packing for space. In this talk, Dr. Shawna Pandya talks about current and emerging design challenges that come with keeping astronauts healthy on the Moon, Mars and beyond.
