I am a graduate student in the iSchool, and am completing a Dual Degree in Library Science and Archival Science. As a member of the LGBTQI2SA+ community, I have found that useful databases with LGBTQI2SA+ content are often difficult to use and may not have relevant results. It is my hope to better understand why that is, and to help create a better, more LGBTQI2SA+ friendly database, if possible.
Research Interests
I am interested in the possibility of creating a searchable media database of LGBTQI2SA+ material. To do so I would like to survey members of the LGBTQI2SA+ community to better understand their user needs when using searchable databases.
